CUE 2016
Sunday [3.20.2016]
The day after CUE 2016.
For the last 3 days, I was in Palm Springs, attending my first CUE conference. CUE stands for Computer Use in Education. It was a great learning experience, I learned a lot of new tech tools I can use in the classroom. It was inspiring to see so many educators with so much passion for education. Technology is definitely changing the way we learn and teach. As a teacher, it would be an injustice to NOT integrate technology into your teaching. I know for myself, the past year has been a year of change.
There are two driving question that is the force behind the change. One is to decide not to teach what my students can google. If they can find the answer by googling, then I don't need to make a whole lesson out of it. The second is to ask myself if I would approve my own children to have me as their teacher or be in my classroom. If the answer is no, then I need to be that teacher I want my own children to have.
